What Is This?

Have you ever found yourself wanting to pin something from your life?  Maybe it's a quote from a book, or a moment that you want to always remember.  Well, I have, but maybe I'm just weird.  It's entirely possible.

The little fact that I'm addicted to Pinterest might also have something to do with it.  :)


However, I'm convinced that some sequences of words are too priceless to be forgotten.  Take this one, for instance, from a novel by Katherine Catmull entitled Summer And Bird:

  
I was flabbergasted the first time I read these words.  At the time, I was dealing with a lot of insecurities about myself and the future, common themes for me.  This author had described me so well, in words that I'd never thought of using.  Simultaneously, she provided a sense of hope for the character in the story and for me.

I am a firm believer that God is the Creator of the universe, and that He is involved in every aspect of our lives.  I think that our creative impulses are gifts from Him- small glimpses of what His marvelous mind is like.  There's a common analogy that I personally love about God being the writer of history, and as such He's also the author of our own, individual stories.  As I thought about things He's showing me, I decided that life with His was too good to be forgotten. 

So, what is this?  It's the place where you'll find phrases, pieces of my story.  Maybe some of them belong in yours, too.
